Areaware - Fauna Pillow

I'd just finished watching korean drama - [Ghost](幽灵) a.k.a [Phantom] which strongly recommended by one of my colleages lately, It's another great korean drama i'd watched after [Rooftop Prince].  It's consists of 20 episodes which casts by So Ji Sub, Daniel Choi and Lee Yeon Hee.

The character that i like most in this drama is Daniel Choi although he just appeared in few episodes in the beginning of the story.

Here's the synopsis..(yup, i just copied it from koreadrama.org)

‘Ghost’ tells the story of the cyber investigation squad fights against the cyber crimes.
Kim Woo Hyun (So Ji Sub) is the only son of a high ranking police officer. He entered the police academy ranked first and graduated from the academy ranked first. As a detective, he then joins the cyber investigation department together with Yoo Gang Mi (Lee Yeon Hee). Woo Hyun then works to reveal the secrets of those that hide within the cyber world.

Trust me, it's definately a korean drama that you don't want to miss :D WATCH IT FOR YOURSELF!!

Our goals are to create thoughtful products that inspire an emotional response and to explore design languages as a means of creating new syncretic forms. We like to think we have a good sense of humor and that our objects are poetic. We wish to create a forum for young and local talent and together, we hope to become a strong voice for American design. We believe that appreciation for beauty is central to what it means to be alive and want to embody this principle in even the simplest things."

Daorea BBQ, Tanjung Tokong

Korean foods is LOVE! I'd went to Daorae @ Tanjung Tokong for dinner with my bunch of girls and hubby yesterday. Nice foods can be addictive as i'd started to crave for it since last week. There are 6 of us so we can order more foods this time!!

Caren, Nana, Cherry and Woei Shyen went there straight after work while i was waiting for Jason. After survived through the friday's traffic jam, Jason and i reached there around 7.15pm. The environment of Daorae BBQ is cozy and spacious, this time we had our dinner on tradisional floor sitting table. It's a bit cold there but we felt warm when the waiter placed a pot of burning charcoal in the pit for cooking.

As usual, they served us with the refillable side dishes (ban chan) first - soup, kimchi(cabbage, cucumber), bean sprouts, anchovies and peanuts, steamed egg, salads, broccolis and octopus, sweet potatoes and green vege.
We ordered a plate of Woo-sam-kyup(beefs), 2 plate of Sam-kyub-sal(belly porks), a plate of Hangjung-sal(sliced pork jowls), a plate of Dak-gal-bi(chicken marinated in spicy chili sauce), Ddukbokki and Kimchi jjigae (served with rice).

Pork belly that i'd craved like forever!! The portion is smaller compared to Korea Palace :((( I prefer to eat it just with sauces (without lettuce), lollll!
Marinated chicken in spicy korean sauce

They serve us with korean pancake and watermelon when we about to finish the dinner.

Hubby

Happy bonding time

Each of us was given a lolipop after we finish the dinner. Posting with the lollipop for the close-up of the dinner.

The whole meal cost us around RM230++, I think Daorae is more expensive than Korea Palace as the portion of foods is smaller and tastewise, i think Korea Palace still by far the best Korean restaurant that i've eaten so far.

Anyway, it's fun to hang out with bunch of girls and i've started to miss it already XDD.

Have a great weekend and do not forget to like this posts. :D

Korea Palace @ Tanjung Tokong

It was the first time i dined at Korea Palace, and it's was a month ago. I know, right. I m so outdated. The reason why i never dine at any korean restaurant (except Seoul Garden) is because i hv bad experience with kimchi noodle years ago. It's tastes so weird so i just ate few bites of it.

So, what's make me decide to go to Korean Palace? It's because Korea'd became the country that i most wanted to visit to lately and i'm so curious about the taste of spicy rice cake (ddukbokkie/Tteokbokki) as it's a famous street food in Korea. Everyone is posting the picture of ddukbokkie after they came back from Korea and it looks so tempting. So, when hubby asked me where i want to celebrate my birthday, i decide to dined at korean restaurant instead. :D

We reached there around 7pm for dinner. We were given choice to dined on the table or traditional floor sitting. We chose to dine on the table.

After we ordered food from menu, the waiter served us the appetiser - a bowl of sweet bean soup, rice tea and 8 side dishes which can be refilled.  The 8 side dishes included Coleslaw, Kimchi (cabbage, cucumber), bean sprouts, stir fried broccolis and carrots, potatoes, fish cakes and long beans.

my favorite goes to the potatoes. The kimchi still taste weird to me. :/

forgotten what it this, it looks like a fried egg, but it's actually something made from flour.
Later, the waiter place burning charcoal in the pit and professionally grilled the meats for us.

 Fresh pork belly

Half - cooked meat :D
The waiter cut it into small pieces for easy consumption. I like this one most  you just have to try it for yourself.
Chicken with red pepper paste sauce, taste not bad.

Spicy rice cake (Ddukbokkie/Tteokbokki)

Fyi, ddukbokkie is cylindrical rice cake covered in thick, spicy sauce. I think this dish is very filling as it's made of rice and thick sauce. We cant finish all the food although the portion not big. It's surely better to go with bigger group of people as we can order more dishes.

To be honest, the price is pretty expensive for the small portion they served despite the dishes is quite delicious. It's great korean cuisine experience that'd change my perspective on korean food and I'm definately looking forward to go back some time later. :)
